What's new?
What's new? Not much, I guess that is why I haven't posted often lately.
Hockey: We continue to be busy with hockey. My Christmas wish for Keaton is that his team can win a game! LOL. Honestly I don't care either way but they have lost every game. They are up against much bigger centers and they can't compete with the talent these bigger cities can pick and choose from. The team we are 'closest' to beating is Port Hope... I'm hoping they get a lucky break and can win a game against them or one of the other teams. Bless their hearts, they try so hard and are improving each game.
Keaton's turning 8: Hard to believe! Keaton is turning 8 on Dec 13th but he has a hockey tournament that weekend so he is having his birthday party next Saturday. He invited a couple friends from school and then some buddies from his hockey team. We are taking them to the Bulls hockey game and Keaton is stoked about it. He is counting down to his party each morning.
Adoption: Yes,we are still waiting :) Our paperwork has been in Vietnam now for 17 months. What can I say... adoption is a hurry up and wait game. I'm hoping the cobwebs get blown off our file eventually and we can put an end to the chapter of our book known as the "Waiting Game" and start enjoying a little girl we've been waiting so long for. Hopefully soon... all we can do is wait.
Christmas: Ah Christmas... our kids have already watched every Christmas movie we have (and we have a lot!) and the tree has been up for weeks. The kids 'wish lists' are being made and edited daily and if the house is quiet I quickly take the opportunity to play some Christmas tunes on my Ipod. Keaton is wanting all things Star Wars Lego this year. Chloe wants a little bit of EVERYTHING... especially makeup!
Ballet: Chloe is still in ballet and 'sorta liking it' - depends on the day. They are doing the Nutcracker for the Christmas recital and I'm looking forward to watching Chloe dance around as a mouse.
Tonight: I'm excited... I'm off to see Australia tonight. I cannot wait. I hope it lives up to my expectations.
I'll leave you with this photo my friend Kerri sent me. We went to the library last Wednesday and she got this sweet photo of Chloe and all her smiles. I love it!
so funny how much the kiddos anticipate christmas, and by the time christmas comes around us parents can no longer stand to watch another christmas movie! i can so relate, my daughter has been watching them & singing christmas carols since last year & she carries around a stuffed rudolph everywhere. i think i'm hiding the movies & cd's with the decorations when they come down! ll the best to oyur family htis holiday season & i hope keaton's team can win one soon!
