Scrapbooking...

its like this huge part of my life and yet, i barely talk about it. my friends don't scrapbook, nor my family. i don't really share my albums unless i am requested to. i am a closet-scrapbooker perhaps... although my hobby and all the junk and papers and 'stuff' that go with it are very un-neatly hidden in the basement - or as i like to call it "my dungeon". (note: this is not a loving term - i seriously have the worst scrap space known to man - or should i say WO-man).

anyhow, i rarely have layouts i can share. they are often for upcoming books or magazines and i so so so miss sharing stuff with other people who love to scrapbook like me.

so... i get to share 2 tonight. i did these 2 layouts for the upcoming CHA trade show in Vegas. i was lucky enough to get to play with the ever talented Rhonna Farrer "Splendor" - totally beautiful papers and embellishments. I really am diggin' the green (as we all know what my favourite color is!) and it is just so pretty but fresh at the same time. Rhonna does amazing stuff and i think her new stuff is my favourite to date!

my Ipod. Wasn't sure how much i would honestly use it. Now i don't know how i would live without it. Our Sony Stereo was dying (we had it for a good 10+ yrs i think) and this teeny-tiny Ipod and Bose docking system stylishly took its place. it is so weird to have so much room on top of this cabinet where our 'stereo' used to fill it.

Shaune surprised me BIG TIME with this for Christmas ... love you baby! I have no understanding YET of video downloads and podcasts...but i 'm sure i'll learn quick. :)

needing recommends for a Car adapter for Ipods. i have heard mixed reviews on some of them so i'd love opinions before i spend any more money on this contraption.

Cover girl

We spent New Year's Eve with the McEwen's and in particular... this little Cover girl... Macey. Apparently this shy beauty is really proud of herself and is thrilled to be on the cover of a magazine that you can buy at Walmart, book stores, all the magazine stores!!   

She smiles huge when you ask her about her "Cover" and she asks all her friends and family if they want to see  "her magazine".

I'm so glad Melissa at SBEtc... liked this photo of Macey.  And Rhonda Bonifay did the layout for cover with the photo...it is smoking hot wonderful. one of my fav covers yet. so bright and pretty!

Macey - Thanks for being cooperative with my camera when all the other kids won't be ;) (wink). You're a good girl :)  I wish Chloe would take notes from you (she hates my camera)!

Happy 2006!!!

Wow, what a whirlwind of activity going on thru these holidays. I will miss having Shaune home and I will miss all the activity and family time and shopping and eating...ha.

Time to start 2006 and make it a great year! 2005 was such an amazing wonderful time here. I can only hope that this coming year will be as good to our family.

To bring in the New Year we celebrated with our good friends Kerri, Matt, John and Michelle (and kids too of course!) It was casual and I loved it. We did fondue and the kids even toasted in the New Year with some 'fake' wine/champagne! I slept in til almost 10am this morning and the kids "schedules" are gone to hell. ha.

Keaton got a GT Snowracer (remember those as a kid?) for Christmas from my parents. He has been wanting to sled every day. Today we spent a few hours outside on the back hill and then in the front yard (smaller safer hill ;) tobogganing. There were alot of crashes and I really think Keaton and Shaune should both be wearing their hockey helmets when they are riding on that thing. Shaune rode it down the hill and the front ski rammed into the field dirt under the snow... he flipped over the handlebars and his old body is now aching because of it! ha!

Henry joined us for a little bit outside and he was so funny getting all covered in the snow and i just gotta say - he is a damn cute pup! this kid has me wrapped around his little paws ;)  Crate training is going awesome. "Potty-training"... on and off. Sigh - i know he'll catch on to it eventually. He is growing, don't ya think?  :)  He will be 9 wks old on Tuesday. Time flies.
