I miss my favourite show

I so desperately want to be back to watching my favourite show that I googled it this morning to see when the airdate for the new season starts. I'm excited but was hoping it would be sooner like early January. Oh well... let the count down begin: I found this ABC announcement:

"Lost" is ready for its upcoming new season. ABC has confirmed exclusively that the serial drama series which revolves around the lives of a plane crash's survivors on a tropical mysterious island, will be premiered for its fifth season on Wednesday, January 21 at 8/7c.

Time flies

I haven't gotten a chance to update our blog as much as I usually do. Life is busy with K's hockey, and we are officially kicking off the Christmas holidays. We put up our tree tonight and watched our usual first movie of the holidays... Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. My all-time favourite!

We have also been home decorating as much as our budget will allow. Just a little sprucing up here and there. What we desperately need is the inside of our house painted - it is showing a lot of 'wear and tear' from 2 kids and a dog. We both hate to paint though so we are putting off the house painting until we can pay someone to do it.

Friday was my mom's birthday - happy birthday to you Mom. I love you and we both have such busy lives. We MUST get together this week for lunch - my treat. Smooch!

Shaune took a week off work this past week. It was so nice having him home and he did a lot of things around the house to get ready for winter. We saw a bit of snow today but nothing that 'stuck'. I'm not sad about that - I'm not ready for winter boots and crazy road conditions just yet.

Here are a few photos of the kids at a local park on Friday. We let Keaton stay home for the day so he could spend some time with us. Chloe only goes to school every other day and she was getting lots of one on one time with daddy - so we treated Keaton to a day off with her. It was fun!

This photo makes me chuckle. Keaton (the big brother) taking his sister down the slide - looks like she is quickly catching up to him. From time to time we get asked if they are twins - which really doesn't make Keaton too happy since he is 2.5 yrs older than her. They can definetly have a great time together:

Keaton and hockey

Keaton is loving this year of hockey. We travel some (within a 2hr drive radius) and most nights this month we are either in a practice, game or tournament... crazy schedule.

Last Saturday the team played in a tournament that included Belleville, Stirling, Beaverton, Burlington, Napanee, Campbellford and Newcastle. We lost our first game to Campbellford big time but did much better in our second game... still losing but it was a much closer game. Our 3rd and final game of the day WE WON!!! The kids were so excited, it was the first win for them of the season and it was a nice way to end a very long day at the arena (Keaton and I were on the road before the sun came up and got home at 7pm). The kids work really hard and are improving their game each and every time. Keaton got one pretty awesome assist with his buddy Cameron getting that goal in the final game - good team work boys. I think the final score was 3-1.

Yes, I guess I am finally embracing being a hockey mom. It was a fun day!

Allergies

This is what Chloe just informed me when I asked her to please get ready because we needed to head into town to go grocery shopping:

"I'm sorry Momma but remember... I'm allergic to shopping so I can't go with you".

I think I'll remind her of this allergy next time she wants to head to Toys R Us.
