The camera came out...

After almost a 3 week hiatus I finally felt enough energy and ambition to pull out my camera and capture our life again. On Sunday we took the kids down to the pier and they used their little fishing poles to entertain themselves for the entire afternoon. We met the MacDonalds down there and the kids had a great time catching tiny little fish and releasing them. Keaton has truly caught the fishing bug and the next day his Uncle Cory showed up with a new fishing pole and tackle box to get him started. Keaton has talked of little else since.

Anyhow, back to our day... it was sunny but breezy most the day and it was just a really nice relaxing family day. Meg was an angel and was content to sit in her stroller most of the time and watch her brother and sister fish. She also caught a nice long nap with the breeze off the water lulling her to sleep! This is Canada!

The "Cup"

The Penguins won the Stanley Cup while we were away in Vietnam... we didn't get to see the game but we were cheering for them to win anyhow - mostly because that is Keaton's team and whatever Keaton wants... we want. Matt Cooke is from our hometown and so he brought the Stanley Cup 'home' for the day on Saturday and tons of people lined up for the chance to see the Cup and congratulate him and the Pittsburg Penguins. We got there too late and the line was MASSIVE. Keaton was kinda bummed but Matt walked by us with the Cup at the end of the event and Keaton got me to grab a few photos of it. Exciting stuff for a Canadian boy who loves to play hockey!

We're back

June is over and July is almost over - where did the summer go? Our summer was devoted to traveling to Vietnam for our beautiful daughter Meg. She was 6 months old when she joined our family and she is doing wonderfully. We spent 5 wks almost in her beautiful birth country and grew to learn and love so many things about Vietnam. We have been home as a family of 5 for 3 wks now and things are going well... lots of juggling and lots of chaos at times and lots of love - typical stuff when you are the mom to 3 children!

So, for anyone that missed all our news this past several months leading up to and including our travels - please refer to our adoption blog HERE. From here on in... all news and stuff will come home to this original blog that I've kept for several years. Meg is most certainly a big part of our family and a huge part of our hearts now - so its' time her news became just another part of "The Lightfoot" blog.
