...and just like that we are heading into April and spring time! All is good here with the kids keeping busy with school and their busy social lives. Keaton is trying out for relay track racing at school and is liking that. Chloe has decided she'd like to give gymnastics another go so I will be signing her up for that once registration is open. Meg is happy just hanging with her momma most the time. We spend our days at home, playing and just hanging out. We spent most of the winter months alone together during the day and she loves that time with me. Now that spring has sprung I think it is time that we got Meg out of the house and learning to socialize with other kids her age. Sure she has Keaton and Chloe at home but she is quite timid about getting into the fun with other babies.
So was the case today. We drove up to Whitby to a place called "Little Feet Fitness" which is basically an indoor playground for babies and toddlers. It is perfect with small fitness mats and playground stuff and lots of padding for those clumsy tumbles. Meg met two new friends: Molly and Hannah. Molly is my friend Julia's little girl and she is 14 months old. She is from Northern Vietnam and she cracks me up. She is a bundle of go-go-go and I love her strong personality. Hannah is 13 months old and her mommy is my friend Catherine. She was born in China and she is a sweetie pie with the biggest smile and sweetest laugh. The girls all had fun together but it took Meg quite a while to warm up to the idea of playing with anyone but me. But, by the end of our visit she was having a great time trying out all of Molly's toys back at her house. I can't wait to do it again and it really got me thinking that it is time that I joined a music group or playgroup for young children.
Here are the photos of their fun today. Catherine got a group shot of them together, I'll have to get it from her and share it later.
