Newborn Session: Amelia (Belleville, Quinte area Newborn Baby Photographer)

I had a newborn session on Wednesday morning. This little girl was 3 wks old by the time I got my hands on her and so she was a wide awake lil' Miss for most of her session. She also was super strong and refused pretty much every pose and position we attempted with her. We ended up taking the majority while she was in her mommy's arms. Sometimes that happens and you just have to let the baby be the boss. She was a sweetie and a beautiful little baby... I am betting her 2 older sisters are thrilled to have a little baby doll at home to spoil rotten.

Family Session: The Craig's (Belleville, Stirling, Quinte area Family Photographer)

This beautiful family was a joy to photograph. Check out the red hair on the youngest and the beautiful blue eyes on their oldest daughter. I've known Melissa for years and years and it was my honour to photograph such a wonderful bunch.

My little helper

Keaton is such a good sport. He hops in the truck and drives with me to different spots around town looking for sweet light and interesting locations for future photo shoots. He knows exactly what I'm looking for somehow and even points out places I wouldn't otherwise of seen. He is a gem, I love him so much. He is fun to be with. He also just so happens to be a gorgeous little model for me.

A new adventure

As you might have gathered from my previous post, I have decided to start booking photography sessions in the Quinte area. I have wanted to do this for a long time and the timing was never right... but now it feels like I can start taking more time to do the things I love to do - and photography is most certainly something I love to do. I will be accepting a limited amount of sessions here and there and so far I'm counting on word of mouth to get my name out there in our community.

I will be booking sessions in the Stirling, Belleville, Tweed, Trenton, Brighton, Prince Edward County, Napanee areas and am also available to travel, at an additional cost. Teen Session: Jess (Belleville, Stirling, Quinte area Seniors Photographer)

This is Jess. Jess is beautiful. Jess is 14 years old... but to me she looks like she's in her 20's! I know Jessica's mother from highschool and she reminds me so much of her mom. It rained on and off all day but when we headed out in the evening for these shots, the light was perfect.

Pretty x3

...my 3 pretty children that is. I think it is ok for a boy to be called pretty, as long as it is his momma saying so. Yes, granted... he is in desperate need of a haircut but he is rebelling against that idea and for now - I guess i'm okay with that. He is a pretty handsome dude always. Chloe and Meg are of course so so so so pretty (not too partial am I?) but they are more than that too... all girls are don't you know!

Beauty of a day...

so let's go to the park?!

Our kids love the park, most the time they want to go to the bike trails but on Easter Monday we decided on the Pirate Ship park because it is more fun for Meg. Then we got there and saw just how busy it was... and Meg is just not a big fan of 'busy, crowded places'. She managed though as long as one of us was right with her at all times and warmed up to this park idea after about a 1/2 hr. The sun was shining... we were lucky to have such a beautiful Easter weekend from start to finish.

Easter 2010

We had another wonderful and busy Easter weekend. We went happily from here to there all weekend and didn't cook a meal until Easter Monday! It was nice! You gotta love that.

On Good Friday afternoon we headed over to my Aunt Betty's place for the Whyte family get together. As usual everyone was there and it was a great time seeing everyone. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we spent it on the back deck watching the kids play in the sand pits across the pond. I got no photos of that but did snap a few of Meg in her pretty Easter dress from Auntie Betty.

After that we headed in for supper at Lynn and Larry's. The food was delicious and Chloe ended up spending the night with her Nana... she loves to do that. We got to see Great Nana Kellar which is always a treat.

Saturday Pam held a party at the hotel she and Ale were staying at. All the kids had a ball using the pool and playing together while the rest of us had a ball relaxing and hanging out together.

We woke up Sunday to see what the Easter bunny had left... lots of goodies for the kids and some eggs hidden around inside the house.

{It was funny, everytime Meg would get her cup full, she'd tip it while trying to put one in her mouth or pick one off the floor... and then she'd get to start all over again!}

 

 

 

Sunday was also Easter lunch at my Aunt Ann and Uncle T's. Another beautiful day and a great time with family. They are on the river and it is such a nice spot. Shaune and Meg fell asleep in the hammock for about 1 hr... I guess they were sleeping off their turkey lunch?!

Sweet Thing

She is our sweet thing, I sing that song to her all the time. She sets my heart a flutter with her constant exploring, her smiles and her affection she is really starting to hand out to me. She has been with our family for 9 months now... my daughter!

She loves being home, she is most definetly a home body for sure. This is her space to just be happy and free and herself.

 

 
 

It's been a while

I've been a neglectful blogger. Spring is here and it makes me happy.

I have finally started taking some photos again of the kids and am out of my winter funk!
