Easter motivated me to get all my photos from the day of the 2 Whyte weddings edited. Its only been 2 months after all! I had a lot to sift though and although none are really that stellar (it was getting dark fast and I couldn't push the resorts photographer out of my way to get better shots)... as much as I wanted to. The result is more 'behind the scene' type photos of the special day and I guess they are nice to have for memory-sake also.
February 14th was an extra-special Valentines day. We were in Jamaica and our family gathered together in the evening for beautiful beach side nuptuals for both Crystal and Darrell, as well as Betty and Charles. Crystal is my dear cousin and Darrell is her longtime (and I mean LONG TIME) boyfriend and fiance. I was thrilled to be able to see them get married as we love Darrell just like part of the family - and now he is part of the family. The other happy couple is my wonderful, amazing Aunt and godmother: Betty and her wonderful guy Charlie. My aunt has been like a second mother to me through the years and I can't imagine not of being there for her wedding. I feel so lucky that I was able to be there and witness it. They are a beautiful and happy pair and I wish them nothing but love.
Crystal had her sister Sandy as Matron of Honour and Darrell's good buddy stood in as best man. My mom was my Aunt Betty's Matron of Honour. Charlie's long time friend Grant stood in as Best Man. It was a breezy ceremony down at the ocean and then we had a nice dinner reception at Mammee Bay Steak house to finish off the night just right.
Brilliant photography, and what a lovely beach wedding! I love the smart use of focus. The colors turned out very vibrant. The monochromatic tone of some of the pictures, makes it feel like a classic movie.
